Course Description:
Music editing is designed for the beginning or experienced musician, composer, sound editor, filmmaker, director or film editor who are interested in learning about the profession of music editing from a hands-on practical approach.

This course will explore many techniques of music editing as well as the dynamics of working a variety of the collaborators on a film or television project. This course includes lectures, demonstrations, printed material, and hands on practice.

Course goal, and objectives:
Upon successful completion of this coursework, students should feel confident with a basic understanding of what music editing is about and some of the requirements. 

This course should enable the filmmaker and other parties to the filmmaking process to communicate better with the music editor.  In addition we will teach some basic techniques, practical applications and esthetics of music editing as well as suggestions for career goals and networking.

Course Prerequisites:
Pre-req: Pro Tools courses 101, 201, PT 210M, PT 210P and a basic music, audio and mixing knowledge, or equivalent years of experience with pro tools.
